The convenors committee of the "Right to Work Campaign" met in Delhi on August 28-29. A correspondent of the MEL participated in the meeting, which was hosted by the Lok Raj Sangathan.

Mona Sur, the Convenor of the Campaign, presented a detailed report on the progress of the campaign through a series of meetings in Kanpur, Kolkota, Bangalore, Kochi, Lucknow and Basti.

It was decided that the next meeting of the Campaign would be held in Kolkota during November 28-29, which would be hosted by the Hawkers Federation. It was also decided that a 10 day yatra would be organised in Uttar Pradesh in the first half of February 2007 to popularise the campaign in the run up to the forth coming assembly elections in that state. It was also decided that a mass rally would be organised in front of parliament on March 5, 2007 during the budget session of parliament.
